Writing Frantically Part Deux

May 28, 2006

Okay, maybe it was a silly deadline.  I mean, 150 pages left to re-write when I had how many days to do it?

But, as usual with me and a writing deadline–I’m done.  Early.  This is why I do deadlines.

And the new total is (drumroll please)………………146,858 words!

Much more manageable than 256,000, wouldn’t you say?  And it’s infinitely better.  Helps that I know who the characters are when I introduce them now.  Hanna is talkative from her first appearance, Donte is no longer trying to be the con-man I envisioned when I first wrote him in, and Taro–the con-man aspect has moved where it belongs.  *grin*

I love all my characters.  But Taro makes me grin.
