It occurs to me that I never mentioned why I decided to make such a resource-chomping expenditure as a new Dell just as I come up on my no-pay-zone–

Short answer–I just got fed up.

Long answer–I’ve had this eMachine for a little over a year. I’ve taken it to Best Buy…five times? Six? The video card is causing my view to flicker. It’s STILL, after three trips to Best Buy, shutting down at apparently random times. Summer is coming fast, and if I don’t do something soon, I know me. I’ll spend too much and have to cope with a defective computer until at least October. Or worse, the thing will really go down, and I’d be without my basic writing tool ALL SUMMER.

So. My Dell left Phoenix tonight. Yay!!!!
