The Slowest McDonald’s on the Planet
The slowest McDonald’s on the planet is in Elk City, Oklahoma. I’m not thrilled to have found it. I had to suggest to the cashier that she take my order rather than stand waiting for the food of the gentleman in front of me. Bly across the street at the gas station was getting stressed too, as our U-Haul was blocking half of the pumps…
I found reading material while waiting. Bly and I agreed that the last step in dealing with a flood is not preparing for the next one–it is moving your ass out of Oklahoma.
On an up-note, though–Bly did indeed get us quickly and easily back to the freeway. And I seem to have learned to make left turns in a truck at least three times the length of my Corolla.
