Onward

One more day. I can do it. I must.

Then…I don’t know what I’m going to do. I can’t take much more vacation-from-writing, I’ll tell you that much. I don’t care if it is the weekend before Christmas. I’ll have to do something.

*ponders*

Okay. What are we doing? I want to work on drawing each day. I want to…

Each day, I want to write. I want to draw. I want to go in to work at least twice. I want that last bit of filing done, and I want the Inactive dealt with. It won’t take that long.

I want to worldbuild. I’ll make a chart of Dream travel times, and not worry about placement. Maps not necessary!

Wait, yes, they are. Can’t figure out the political stuff in a vacuum. Drat!

Okay, enough babble. I’m going to bed. The sooner I sleep the sooner I vacation.

Not too bad a day of loafing, if I do say so myself.

I drew.  I bought groceries.  I straightened up the house a bit and emptied the dishwasher.  And I got over two hundred blog entries fixed where folks can actually read them.   Edit, delete a little bit of random code, change the category, save…

Yep.  Over two hundred of them.  Including this, a personal favorite.

Ah, yes.  How I love my job.

Remember (those who follow, if any do) a couple years ago when my stated goal for the summer included a “mystery hobby?”

I’m no better at it now than I was then, but at least I’m over the shyness. I dug out all my stuff today and re-dedicated myself to learning to draw. I want so badly to be able to draw my characters, to flesh out their worlds as I do their lives–by discovery. So I located my sketchbook (two pages used) and found my pencils (dust-bunnies the size of horses growing inside the cup) and I made space on my desk for the tools and the books that I bought.

No promises. But it’s something I’ve meant to do for a long time. And I’m tired of waiting for a “right” time.

Learning Spanish, though–that will have to wait. Until I have an office of my own again.

Put up the first (finally!) chapter of Shades and Hues.  Still trying to work on Star.  And maybe then a chapter of Chaos!  Schu really wants a turn.

At least until tomorrow.
