Still typing with my eyes closed and slower than snot (sorry for the visual) so I thought I would just post a snip. Or three. Cut from Eve’s book after Eve and Ben rescue Hanna: “You’re frightening her more, Captain. Let me—“ “No time to coddle her, Doc. Wouldn’t be a favor anyway. Look around.” She set the [...] I cut 298 words from Eve today. So we’re (all the way) down to 136,293. Yay! Or something. Oh, and I got my Taro/Rafe head-shot to work on my NaNoWriMo profile. *big grin* Hey, it means a lot to me! Wanna write, wanna write, wanna write…I’m SO tempted to cheat and start now. Not much to show for my efforts today. 136,580 words, so Eve is down less than 200. What can I say? *grin* My re-write rocks. I’m just worried about when I get closer to the end. I had the goal of finishing the re-write before Bly got here, and then things moved a little faster than [...] Yeah, so it’s only a wee bit under. It IS under. I cut 300 words tonight. I may have to ease up on the editing thing soon, though. All work and no creating makes KD bite things. I’ve heard that’s not very professional. |
